Whilst one component water based adhesives would have always been the preferred system for foam bonding because of their safe and eco friendly nature, they have not been fast enough for general use due to their slow drying characteristics.
However, the problem of waiting for the adhesive to dry has been eliminated by Apollo’s latest development.
Apollo has launched a new generation of eco-friendly, fast bonding, one component water based adhesives specially developed for the foam bonding market.
These one component adhesives offer much greater ease of use, safety and convenience over the alternative systems of solvent based and two part water based systems currently in use.
The new, totally solvent free, adhesives are easy to apply through simple gravity fed spray systems and are safe to use for the user and the environment.
The adhesives have been specially developed for bonding foams and other porous materials and give fast, high grab bonds. Their high solids content systems offer excellent coverage and ensure a cost effective system for the foam conversion market.
The adhesives are supplied in recyclable 20 kilo "bag in a box" containers that are connected directly to an air fed spray gun eliminating the need for expensive pumping equipment.
